Michael Quaine Dyer, aged 80, passed away on October 17, 2024, at the Medicalodges Kinsley in Kinsley, Kansas. Born on August 25, 1944, in Lamar, Colorado, he was the son of Quaine Sell Word and Doris Louise (Palmer) Dyer. Michael spent his early years in Dighton and later lived with his brother, John, in Bazine before settling in Kinsley.

In Kinsley, Michael found joy in working with Arrowhead West alongside other disabled individuals. He was always eager to join his friends for bowling or a movie outing and attended many 'Tim Tebow Night to Shine' events. Michael also had a passion for reading comic books.

He is survived by his nieces, Susan Daniels and her husband, Jeff, of Leavenworth, Kansas; Jill Obrock and her husband, Bud, of Kingman, Kansas; and Shelley Selfridge of Dighton. Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Pat Dyer; sister Lila Selfridge; and nephews, Paul, Kent, and Brian Selfridge.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bazine Cemetery in Bazine, Kansas.
