Michael Philip Fehrenbach, age 62, died at his home in Ness City on Friday, February 19, 2010. He was born on February 27, 1947 in Ransom the son of Frank and Albertina Flax Fehrenbach.
He worked as a floor hand for Pickrell Drilling for many years. He retired in January 2009. He was an avid gardener and canned everything, he loved fishing and was always ready to help anyone who needed an extra hand. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the Bazine American Legion Olin Cole Post 392, and the Ransom Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7972. Mike served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his parents Frank and Albertina Fehrenbach, Ness City; four sisters: Rose Mary Wagner, Ransom, Berneice Funk, Otis, Kansas, Betty Nowlin & her husband Don, Oskaloosa, Kansas, and Jane Nottingham & Joe Freed, Douglass, Kansas, seven nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 22, 2010, 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Rosary will be said at the church at 6:30 pm on Sunday followed by the Parish Vigil at 7:00.
Friends may call to sign the memorial book at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm and at the church on Monday before the service.
