Monica M. Halbleib, age 59, died April 8, 2014, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center, Wichita, Kansas.  She was born April 8 1955 in Concordia, Kansas and was adopted by Al and Mary Walters Pfeifer on April 10, 1955.

She grew up in LaCrosse, Kansas and went to Dodge City Community College and Barton County College where she received her LPN and RN.

On June 2, 1979, she married Chuck Halbleib. They had two daughters, Erin Denger and Anita Halbleib. She became a mother-in-law to Todd Denger in 2009, and a grandmother to Anita's daughter, Khloe in 2013.

In 2010, Monica found her biological family. She had six siblings. Those surviving include Nancy, Vickie, Ray, Mary, and Ronald.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edwin.

Rosary will be Friday, April 25, 2014, 6:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church, Ness City, Kansas

Mass will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 10:30 A.M. Sacred Heart Church, Ness City.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in McCracken, Kansas at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alport Syndrome Foundation or St. Mary's Cemetery Fund.
