Patricia "Patty" Louise Koerner, age 51, died September 14, 2011 at Ness County Hospital, Ness City, Kansas. She was born September 28, 1959 in Hays, KS the daughter of Donald "Duck" and Billie Jobe Swim.
She was a para-educator for the Sacred Heart School, Ness City. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and Altar Society. On September 8, 1979 she married Kenneth Koerner in Ness City. He survives; other survivors include sons Kevin, Ness City and Joey Koerner (Jessica), Hays, KS; daughter, Chrissy Koerner, Manhattan, KS; brother Don Swim (Susan), Chandler, AZ; three sisters, Diane Dexter (Bob Roths), Sue Fehrenbach (Eldon) all of Ness City and Jeanne Hansen (Dana), Benton, KS and three granddaughters Madyson and Brooklyn Koerner, Hays and Krissa Koerner, Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, September 17, 2011, 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Rosary will be at the church on Friday, Sept. 16, 6:30 pm followed by the vigil at 7:00 pm Friends may call Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and at the church from 4:00 pm until service time. Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Sacred Heart School, Masses, Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, or American Diabetes Association.
