Penny Louise Betz, 64, went home to her Jesus from her home in rural Bazine, Kansas on May 2, 2014.  She was born July 13, 1949, to Harley and Marjorie (Norlin) Irvin.

Penny married Tommy Betz on August 24, 1969.  They made their home on a farm South of Bazine for many years where she loved being a farm wife, homemaker and living in the country.  After a few years of living in Arizona and Texas, where Penny excelled in several professions, they have returned to the home they love where they are closer to their children and grandchildren.  One of Penny's greatest joys was being a grandmother!  She was a member of Faith Fellowship Community Church south of their home.

Penny is survived by her husband Tom Betz; two sons: Stacey, Bazine; Cory and wife Lynette and children Evan and Evangelyn, Hays; daughter, Jennifer Angell and children Emily and Brayden, Hays; brother: John Irvin and wife Sharon, McCracken; three sisters: Vicky Overley, Antonino; Susan Walker and husband Dennis, Dalhart, TX; and Sally Irvin, McCracken.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Penny Betz Memorial Fund c/o The Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, to be forwarded to the North Oak Community Church Orphanage, Casa de Luz, in the Dominican Republic.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Penny has been cremated per her wishes.
