Obituary

Ralph Alexander Herrmann, 70, passed away on March 2, 2025, in Utica, Kansas.  He was born on July 8, 1954, in Ransom, Kansas the son of Albert and Isabel (Lefort) Herrman.

He was a machine operator for the Union Pacific Railroad where he worked for 27 years.  After retirement he worked to restore woodwork in old homes near St. Joseph, Missouri.  After he moved to Utica he opened and operated Ralph's Custom Wood Works.

Ralph is survived by his son, Tyron Herrman and his partner, Pamela, and his two brothers, Joe Herrman and his wife, Della, and Robert Herrman, all of Utica.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Rosanna Haug (Howard), Veronica Reddig (Darrell) and Loretta Perkins (Joe) and two brothers, John and Bernard Herrman.

The family will host a come and go celebration of Ralph's life at the Ransom VFW on Thursday, March 13, 2025, beginning at noon.
