RaMona L Ummel, 76, passed away on July 28, 2024 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.  She was born on July 27, 1948 in Ransom, Kansas the daughter of Vern and Tessa (Powell) Cranston.

RaMona worked at Pizza Plus for many years prior to retiring. She was a member of Praise Fellowship Church in Ransom. She was a member of the Bazine American Legion Auxiliary and Golden Years. She married Robert Ummel on May 4, 1968, in Ransom, Kansas.

Survivors include husband, Robert Ummel of Bazine; son, Sean Ummel and Cindy Fuentes of Bazine; daughter, Heather Rohr and Jim Ledbetter of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Jacy Ummel, Brody Ummel, Braden Rohr, Preston Rohr.  She was preceded in death by her parents; half-brother, David Barrett; and half-sister, Gloria Hammond.

Funeral service will be on, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Praise Fellowship Church, Ransom at 10:00 a.m. Burial in the Ransom Cemetery.  Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Praise Fellowship Church or the Bazine American Legion Post No. 392.
