Rita May Leiker, age 73, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. Born April 13, 1936 in Ness City the daughter of Leo and Katherine Eichman Raskopf.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and a she was a beautician. On November 24, 1956 she married Norbert "Tubby" Leiker in Ness City. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2006.
She is survived by her son, Phil Leiker, Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Monica Leiker, Hays, and Marianne Hartman, Overland Park; one brother, Larry Raskopf, Peabody, Kansas; two sisters, Nancy Snodgrass, Ransom and Kay Pfaff, Brownell, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Lane, and one sister, Vivian Connor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contribution to the Leiker Grandchildren College Education Fund may be send to Fitzgerald Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Ness City, KS 67560.
Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Monday from 9am to 9pm. There will be no evening service.
