Roberta Faye Foster, age 75, passed away at the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney, Kansas on September 10, 2011. She was born on January 19, 1936 in Gate, Oklahoma the daughter of Orbie and Nina Bond Kirkhart.
She was a homemaker and also had worked in the fabric department of the Hays Wal-Mart for ten years. She was a resident of the Utica area since she was eight years old. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Utica, the church's Christian Women's Fellowship, and Eastern Star.
On February 7, 1953 she married Jimmy Foster. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2009.
She is survived by sons, Kirk (Michelle) Foster of Utica and Luke Foster of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Shela (Randy) Link of Hutchinson, Jayme (Robert) Corwin of Quinter, and Roberta Dawn (Michael) Kinderknecht of Victoria; brother, Roger Kirkhart of Hawaii; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lyndell Kirkhart; and grandson, Matthew Foster.
Funeral service is Wednesday, September 14, 2011, 10:30 A.M at First Christian Church of Utica. Burial in Utica Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Tuesday from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. with family present from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to First Christian Church of Utica or Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital.
