Roger Allen McCreight, age 77, passed away at Cedar Village Long Term Care, Ness City, Kansas, on August 1, 2015.

He was born on May 28, 1938 in Larned, Kansas, the son of Dr. R.T. and Arlene (Hermon) McCreight.

On August 18, 1960, he married Paula Shramek in Ness City.

Roger's daughters, grandchildren and great grandsons were his life. He was kind, patient, and had a heart of gold. He was always thankful and he had a contagious laugh. Roger was a lifetime farmer and stockman in Ness County and took pride in his crops. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed all sports, but his greatest enjoyment was KU Basketball; he never missed a game! Roger was loved by many and he will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Camille (Randy) Stoecklein, Ness City, Claudia (John) Seib, Ness City, Alice (Kirk) Munsch, California, MD; sister, Jo (Keith) Parkerson, Ness City; grandchildren, Katrina (Nick) Mondero, Kyle Stoecklein, Megan (Jason) Kennedy, Marla Seib, Alex Depperschmidt, Ethan Depperschmidt; great-grandsons, Brecken and Owen Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Anthony.

Viewing will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Monday August 3, 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday August 4, 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Rosary will be at Sacred Heart Church, Tuesday, August 4, 7:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.

Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Church, or Ness County Bank Building.
