Ronald Dean Hemel, 78, passed away on April 25, 2019 at his home in Ness City, Kansas. He was born on February 18, 1941 in Ness City, the son of Philip and Mollie Funk Hemel.

Ronald was a Farmer Stockman. He was a life time resident of Ness County except for the time he spent in the United States Army.

Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Filson of Wichita, Arlene Smith and husband Bill of Hoxie, and Carol Schmitter of Oklahoma City; a nephew, Steve Zimmerman; two nieces, Debra Kogut, and Tonya Sager; 5 great-nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., at the Bazine Cemetery. Friends may sign the book at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
