Obituary

Ryan Mitchell Post, age 28, passed away December 29, 2010. He was born on March 4, 1982 to Myrna Pember Post in Hays, KS.

A former resident of Augusta, KS. He spent his early years on the family ranch in Ness City, KS. He attended elementary school in Ness City and Oberlin, KS. After his parents, Greg and Myrna Post, moved to Hugoton, KS, Ryan attended high school there and graduated in 2000.

Growing up, Ryan was very active in 4-H showing horses and cattle in various county fairs. His love for horses and cattle remained with him throughout his life, as he frequently worked with his grandfather, Art Pember, on the family ranch working cattle, building fence and repairing machinery. He and his mother also worked closely together to raise quarter horses on the farm in Augusta, Ryan's other love was his 1969 Dodge Charger which we worked to fully restore over many years. He spent countless hours, meticulously restoring and cleaning his beloved classic muscle car.

Ryan attended Central Christian Church in Wichita, KS and was a very devout Christian who loved to share his faith with many. His infectious smile made it easy for him to do so. His devotion and love for Christ persevered even through his many struggles with seizures. Ryan never complained about the turmoil he endured and always had a positive outlook on life.....his faith was unfailing.
