Sheryl Dee
Bain
August 13, 1960 – January 16, 2026
Sheryl Dee Bain, 65, passed away January 19, 2026, at her home in Dighton, Kansas. She was born August 13, 1960, in Boulder, Colorado, to Albert and Verona (Roby) Forsyth.
After living many years in Colorado and Wyoming, Sherri, as many knew her, moved to Dighton, Kansas in 2009. It was then she bought her home and from that point on she was constantly remodeling and designing it to make it what she wanted. She spent endless hours deciding what should go where and how it would be decorated. Sherri enjoyed decorating not only her home, but other people as well. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or idea when asked.
In 2016 she began working for Melanie at Dighton Floral. During her time at Dighton Floral, she learned about flowers and how to arrange and care for them. She also learned about the many different plant types and how each one was to be cared for properly. Sherri was a quick learner and a great help to Melanie.
When she wasn't designing or helping anyone and everyone she could, Sherri enjoyed spending time with her fur babies Chance, Ollie and Slate.
Leaving to mourn her passing, her mother, Verona Forsyth; her son, Mason (Tara) Stauffer; daughter, Madison (Nate) Byers; both of Grand Junction, CO; 3 brothers, Jim Forsyth of Evergreen, CO, Roby Forsyth of Gypsum, CO, Shannon Forsyth of Casper, WY; 2 step-brothers Eric Forsyth, Dwayne Forsyth; 1 step-sister Lori Beamer; 6 grandchildren, Alex, Keden, Rhyder, Brady, Molly and Cole; Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her Kansas siblings, kids, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her father and husbands.
