Shirley Ann Higgins, 92, passed away on July 27, 2026, at Locust Grove Village in LaCrosse, Kansas. She was born on March 7, 1934, in McCracken, Kansas the daughter of Robert and Grace (Elias) Lovitt.

Parish Vigil will be on Tuesday, August 4 at St. Mary’s Church in McCracken at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at the St. Mary's Church, McCracken, Kansas. Burial in the McCracken Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the St. Mary's Heritage Association, McCracken Historical Museum, or McCracken Alumni Association, or McCracken Library.
