Susan Lee Harkness, age 66, passed away on September 15, 2012 at the Presbyterian Manor in Salina, Kansas. She was born on January 23, 1946 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Thomas and Roberta Breitweiser Harkness. She was a graduate of Emporia State University where she received her Masters in Counseling. She was an administrative assistant in the banking industry for many years.

She is survived by her sister, Lynne Harkness and a nephew, Mitchell Rolle both of Longmont, Colorado; and a cousin, Cheri and Richard Santiago, Salina. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, Ness City. Burial in the Ness City Cemetery.
Friends may call to sign the book at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9am until 9pm. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
