Tamara Chapman, age 49, passed away in Clark County, Nevada on December 7, 2011 with her husband Delwin Chapman.

Tamara was born on September 3, 1962 in Ransom, Kansas the daughter of Dwaine and Virginia Mitten Basinger. Tamara and Delwin were united in marriage on December 6, 1986 in Utica, Kansas.

Tamara was a cosmetologist. She was a deaconess and member of the First Christian Church in Utica, a member of the church's Christian Women's Fellowship, and a member of the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology..

She is survived by daughters and grandchildren, Kendra Solze (Derek) with Mallory and Logan Solze, Pratt, Melanie Stoecklein (Eric) with Aubrie and Khloe Stoecklein, Wichita, Jennifer Chapman with Tracer and Brecken Chapman, Dighton, and Jacklyn Walker (Adam), Utica. Tamara is also survived by her parents; brother, Roger Basinger (Donna), Hutchinson; and sister, Teresa Shipp (Dennis), Bertrand, Nebraska and by six nephews and six nieces and their beloved dogs, Sasha J, Tinkabell, Sophia Maria, and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Orie and Lida Basinger and Earl and Opal Mitten.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 17, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, Utica. Friends may sign the guest book at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, on Friday from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. The family will be present from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial in Utica Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Delwin and Tamara Chapman Memorial Fund or the Utica First Christian Church.
