Thomas Michael "Tom" Cole, 66, passed away April 2, 2014 in Pueblo, CO. The son of Alfred and Ema "Lee" (Sauer) Cole, he was born May 7, 1947 in Cripple Creek, CO.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Tom served his country from 1964 to 1984. He served in Vietnam, as well as a recruiter for a number of years in Kansas and Colorado. Tom retired at the rank of Master Sergeant.
Tom was very active with Star Point; he worked with many of the clients, as well as being a host family.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Lucy; children, Michelle VanWagner, Monica (Bob) Roemke, Amber (Ryan) Miller, Matt Hagans, Corey (Angela) Hagans, Michael (Nicola) Hagans, and Cody (Keira) Hagans; grandchildren, Kayla, Chanda, Jenna, Austin, Max, Trinity, Leyla, Trevor, Ryan, and Landen; sister, Patricia Ebinger; and brother, Bob Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary Cole.
Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 followed by visitation with the family at the Fitzgerald's Funeral Home in Ness City, Kansas. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ness City, KS.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
