Tim Funk, age 79, died at his home on the family farm near Brownell, Kansas on May 22, 2026.  He was born in 1946 in Ransom, Kansas to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Funk. 

He grew up on the original family farm where he resided at the time of his passing. He was loving and devoted to his wife and son--his greatest priority and deepest pride. He was fun-spirited and not above pranks and mischief. He enjoyed working cattle on the farm and his years on the road trucking. He was a good sport, but absolutely tenacious during any game whether he was playing baseball, ping-pong, boxing, or shooting pool. One of the absolute joys of his life was coaching and cheering for his son, Matt and his teammates' Little League and T-Ball teams. 

After an extended and valiant battle with kidney disease, he succumbed on surrounded by his family. He leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but we are looking forward to seeing him again. 

He is survived by his wife Karen, son Matt, sisters-in-law Colleen Miller (Frank), Denise Garner and sons, Ben and John, brother-in-law, Larry Nagode and numerous cousins. Per Tim's wishes, private burial service will take place in the Bazine Cemetery.
