Vera D. Munsch, 89, passed away on January 16, 2020 at the Via Christi Village in Hays, Kansas. She was born on June 16, 1930 in Ness City, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Helena (Zimmerman) Rebel.

Vera married Ralph Joseph Munsch on July 27, 1948, in Ness City. He died on January 30, 1996. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar Society.

Survivors include: son, Mark D. Munsch, Hays and his daughter, Taylor Munsch, Dodge City; daughter, Renee and husband, Kirk Spriggs, Olathe, their children, Cole (Jessica) Spriggs, Shawnee and their children, Ava & Rhett, and Connor (Nicholas) Abuhl, Troy, Missouri and their son, Anderson; son, Cory and wife, Pam Munsch, Hays and their three sons, Leighton (Olivia) Munsch, Franklin, TN and son, Wynder, Josh Munsch and Fiancée, Margret Holcomb, San Francisco, CA, and Landon Munsch, Kansas City; daughter, Diana and husband, Emery Jennings, Hays and their son, Kyle (Nikki) Herrman, Garden City and their children, Jordan and Kyler, and their daughter, Kendra (Desmond) Stewart, Broken Arrow, OK and their children Jahziah, Judah, and Makeda; grandchildren, Brandy Rein and her children Eryn & Evan, Robyn (Jessica) Rein and their children Jenna, Avre, & Brekin and Jared Rein, all of Wichita; two brothers, Ralph and wife, Bonnie Rebel of Ness City, Jerry and wife, Sandy Rebel of Manhattan; a sister-in-law, Jenny Rebel of Ness City and a son-in-law, Joel Rein of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Alan Munsch; daughter, Pamela Rein; infant son, John Munsch; three brothers, Issy, Alvin, and Gilbert Rebel; and five sisters, Josephine Basgall, Margaret Huelke, Janet Girard, Ruth Rupp, and Martina Betz.

Rosary and Parish Vigil will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, at 6:30 P.M. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, 9:00 A.M.- 9:00 P.M. on Monday, January 20.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Church, or Sacred Heart School.
