Virgil Abraham Klitzke's Obituary
Virgil Abraham Klitzke, age 92, passed away at Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas, on June 12, 2014.
He was born on January 28, 1922, the son of Fred and Lena Ummel Klitzke.
He was a farmer and also did road maintenance for the Kansas Highway Department. He was a lifetime member of the First Mennonite Church, Ransom.
On May 18, 1943, he married Verla Jean Dieffenbach in Dodge City.
He is survived by his sons, Fred Lee (Donna) Klitzke, Glendale, AZ, Marty (Judy) Klitzke, Ness City; daughters, Vicki (Randy) Betz, Ness City, Nancy Powers, Parkville, MO, Sandra Seibel, Littleton, CO, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward, Orville, Richard, William; and sister, Lerena Ferrell.
Viewing will be Thursday, June 19, 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Ransom Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Rhode Island Suites, or Ness City Library.
