Dateline: Ness County, Kansas
Dean Barricklow, age 88, died at his home in Rural Ness County on April 5, 2011. Born may 31, 1922 the son of Weldon and Winnie Dagnett Barricklow.
He was a farmer, a Century Farm Recipient and a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On August 15, 1943 he married Olinda Wolfe in Bazine, Kansas. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2011. He is survived by his three sons: Larry (Sandy) of Ness City, Gary of Goodland, Daryl (friend Peggy) of Ness City; one daughter, Deanna Kent of Larned; sister, Arlene Dahl of Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Barricklow.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City with Reverend Mark Chambers presiding. Burial in the Bazine Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday and Friday from 9am until 9pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Prairie.
