Wanita Marie Munsch Meis Reinert, age 88, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas.

She was born on September 3, 1925 in Bazine, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Catherine Depperschmidt Munsch.

She was a homemaker and long time resident of Ness City, Kansas. She was a member of the F.O.E. Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; D.A.V. Auxiliary, and a memeber of the Sunflower Polka Group.

She is survived by her adopted son: William A. Reinert, Great Bend, KS; daughters: Joyce (Charles) Esfeld, Great Bend; Debbie (Clinton) Stiawalt, Beeler, KS; Sandy (Robert) Dunaway, Holdrege, NE; brothers: Lawrence, Cheyenne Wells, CO; Harry, Cheyenne Wells; Jerry (Clara Rose) Ness City; Robert (Mary), Lawrence; sisters-in-law: Martina Holmes; Marina Munsch; Vera Munsch; Sharon Munsch, all of Ness City; grandchildren: Mark Esfeld, Wichita, KS; Tony Esfeld, Plano, TX; Beth Esfeld, Colwich, KS; Jennifer Domebo, Bel Air, KS; Nathan Stiawalt, Ness City; Breanne Dunaway, Houston, TX; Blake Dunaway, Holdrege; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Joe, Ralph, Edwin, and Leroy Munsch; sisters: Velma Boltz, and Arlene Hanan; and former husband: Luke C. Meis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 2, 2014, 10:30 A.M. Sacred Heart Church, Ness City.

Inurnment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Ness City Volunteer Fire Department.
