Ward Mitchell Jacka was born August 13, 1950, the third child of Willis Dwane and Dora Elizabeth (Harmon) Jacka, in Gove County, Ks. He departed this life November 9, 2023, in Ness City, KS at the age of 73.

Mitch attended Sunnyside and Hackberry country schools in Gove County until his high school years where he entered Quinter, Ks. high school. He transferred to Utica High School his senior year and graduated in 1969. He worked for several area farmers, drove an over the road truck for many years and worked on the family custom cutting crew. Mitch enjoyed coyote hunting and auctions.

Mitch is survived by brother, Robert (Lori) Jacka; sisters, Connie (Dave) Gillespie, Sherry (Phil) Mann of Quinter, KS. Fonda (Rodney) Farr Oberlin, KS and Jean Solze, Ness City, KS; 14 nieces and nephews; 30 great nieces and nephews; 3 great great nephews; and 1 great great niece; extended family and friends; and a very special little girl Brynlin Schwindt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Bonnie, sister Darla Blackwill, and nephews Bae and Jesse Jacka.

Memorial service will be held at the Utica Cemetery on Saturday, November 18, 2023, 2:00 p.m.
