Wilbur Eugene Stecklein, age 82, passed away at Cedar Village, Ness City, Kansas on January 6, 2014. He was born in Ness City on November 13, 1931 the son of George and Lena Raskopf Stecklein.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Fields Dirt Construction and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ness City.

On April 21, 1954 he married Ona Merle "Pat" Snyder in Ness City, Kansas. She survives, of the home. He is also survived by his sons, Jerry Stecklein and his wife Denissa of Perryton, Texas, Terry Stecklein of Ford, Kansas, and Darin Stecklein of Ness City; daughter, Lisa Wasinger of Hanston, Kansas; his twin sister Wilma Seib and her husband Tony of Munjor, Kansas; 15 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his son, Brent Stecklein; his daughter, Rhonda Gantz; and his sister, Elvira Seib.

A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, January 10, 2014, 1:30 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City followed by a memorial mass at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery will follow. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Church, the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund, or the American Cancer Society.
